Jeho talent sa prejavil už v siedmich rokoch keď bez vedomia rodičov vymenil svoje hodinky za klasickú gitaru na ktorej spočiatku tajne cvičil v pivnici. Vo veku deviatich rokov absolvoval Armik formálne skúšky v hre na gitare a ako 12 ročný sa stal profesionálnym hudobníkom.
